In addition to project funding from private foundations, the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), and other large donors, the Swedish Burma Committee is also supported by donations from private individuals and organisations.

We are a member of two professional membership bodies for fundraising in Sweden, demonstrating our commitment to adhere to industry standards and increase transparency towards our donors and the public. In addition, SBC has so-called Equivalency determination (ED) status through NGOsource in the United States, which gives us a similar standing as a US-registered charity. Read more about ED here.

SBC has a so-called 90-account in Sweden, which guarantees that it undergoes annual financial audits and that at least 75% of donated funds go directly to the charitable purpose of the organisation.
